The BFFs, who spend the summer traveling across Europe, opened up about their struggles with stress and anxiety on their Sit With Us podcast on Wednesday.

“I feel like when I’m stressed at home, the stress is much worse. I feel like the expectation, the comparison, is so much more intense,” she added.

“I have struggled a lot with my mental health in Australia over the past few months and being here [in Europe] it really opened my eyes.

Domenica added that she felt much more relaxed in Europe and that spending the summer abroad had been good for her mental health.

Domenica also said she needs to stop “comparing herself to others” and that she “needs to manage her own stress better.”

‘I think that’s the one thing travel has taught me: take better care of yourself [and] stop comparing. I just have to focus more on me and I don’t think I’ve done that for very long,” she said.

Her co-host Ella added that indulging in Italian cuisine abroad had tested her mental health as she suffered from binge eating disorder.

“If I’m not strict with myself, I’m going to lose myself and it’s not good for my mental health. That’s why I need to train and exercise, because it’s is what keeps my spirit strong,” she said.
